Lumpiang Sariwa

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp Jolly Heart Mate Canola Oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 tsp achuete powder
  • 1/4 kg ground pork
  • 8 pcs shrimps, minced
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1 can Jolly Pieces and Stems Mushrooms 198g
  • 1 can Jolly Garbanzos 225g, drained
  • 1 cup shredded Baguio beans
  • 1 large carrot, cut into sticks
  • 1 large kamote, cut into sticks
  • 3 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 10 lettuce leaves
  • 10 pcs lumpia wrapper

Sauce:

  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch, dispersed in 3 tablespoons water
  • 5 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1/4 cup ground peanuts

Procedure:

  1. Prepare filling by heating oil in a pan. Add onion, achuete powder, ground pork, shrimps, and fish sauce. Stir-fry for 8 minutes. Add Jolly Pieces and Stems Mushrooms, Jolly Garbanzos, Baguio beans, carrots, camote, and cabbage. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until vegetables are crisp and tender. Remove from heat and set aside.
  2. Prepare sauce by combining water, sugar, and soy sauce in a saucepan. Bring to a boil then thicken with cornstarch mixture. Remove from heat then add garlic and peanuts.
  3. To assemble, place lettuce leaf on every lumpia wrapper. Put 3 tablespoons of filling then roll up. Top with sauce.
