Pata with Mushrooms and Castañas

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 kg pork pata, sliced
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Good Life Oyster Sauce
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 5 cups water, or more for boiling
  • 2 pcs bay leaf
  • 1 1/2 cups Jolly Water Chestnuts, drained
  • 2 cans Jolly Shiitake Mushrooms 198g, drained
  • salt and ground black pepper, to taste

Procedure:

  1. Combine pork pata, soy sauce, Good Life Oyster Sauce, brown sugar, water and bay leaves in a casserole. Bring to boil and simmer over low heat for 1 hour.
  2. Add Jolly Water Chestnuts and Jolly Shiitake Mushrooms. Simmer for additional 45 minutes-1 hour or until pork pata is very tender. Season to taste with salt and pepper
  3. Transfer to a serving dish and serve with steamed rice.
