Sinigang na Isda sa Miso
Ingredients:
- 2 pcs large maya maya, cleaned and cut into half
- 1/4 cup rock salt
- 1 cup Jolly Claro Palm Oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 pc medium yellow onion, quartered
- 2 pcs medium tomatoes, wedged
- 1 can (425g) Jolly Straw Mushrooms, drained and halved
- 2 tbsp yellow miso paste
- 2 1/2 tbsp fish sauce
- 5 cups water
- 1 sachet sinigang mix
- 8 pcs okra
- Ground black pepper to taste
- 5 to 7 pcs mustard leaves
Procedure:
- Rub salt all over the fish. Let it stand for 10 minutes.
- Heat 1 cup of cooking oil in a pan. Pan-fry maya maya in medium heat until it turns brown. Set aside
- Meanwhile, scoop about 2 tablespoons of cooking oil from the pan where the fish was fried and place it in a cooking pot.
- Heat the cooking pot. When the oil heats-up, sauté the garlic, onion, tomatoes, and Jolly Straw Mushrooms.
- Add the miso paste and then pour-in the fish sauce and water. Let boil.
- Add the sinigang mix. Stir.
- Put the fried tilapia in the cooking pot. Cook for 3 minutes.
- Add the okra. Cook for 2 minutes.
- Sprinkle some ground black pepper and add the mustard leaves. Let it simmer for 5 minutes. Turn the heat off.
- Transfer the fish into a serving bowl. Share and enjoy!
