Ingredients:

  • 8 cups water
  • 1/2 kg beef, cut into serving sizes
  • 1/2 kg pork, cut into serving sizes
  • 4 pcs white onion, sliced
  • 4 pcs chorizo bilbao, sliced and save the lard
  • 1 can Jolly Garbanzos 225g, drained
  • 1 can Jolly Whole Mushrooms 400g, drained and quartered
  • 4 pcs small potato, cubed
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 5-6 pcs saba banana, halved
  • achuete seeds
  • 2 tbsp Jolly Heart Mate Canola oil

Procedure:

  1. In a pot, bring water to boil. Add beef, pork, and onions, cook until meat is tender.
  2. Add the chorizos, Jolly Garbanzos, Jolly Mushrooms and potatoes.
  3. Boil over medium heat until vegetables are cooked.
  4. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Add the bananas last.
  6. In a pan, sauté the achuete seeds in Jolly Heart Mate Canola oil
  7. Remove the seeds, mix the oil onto the soup.
  8. Remove from heat when all the ingredients are tender.
