Peach Turon
Ingredients:
Crust:
- 1 can Jolly Peach Halves 825g, drained, quartered
- 12 pcs lumpia wrapper
- 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder + 6 tbsp white sugar, mixed
- 3 cups oil
- 1/4 cup toasted peanuts, crushed
Coconut Sauce:
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 cup Jolly Coconut Cream
Procedure:
- Assemble the turon by placing two slices of Jolly Peach Halves in the middle of each lumpia wrapper. Sprinkle with 1/2 tablespoon cinnamon and sugar mixture per lumpia wrapper. Roll up to form a baton then deep-fry in oil until golden brown.
- To make coconut sauce, combine sugar and water in saucepan. Caramelize over medium heat until golden brown. Remove from heat and let it sit for a minute before adding Jolly Coconut Cream. Heat the pan again and mix until caramel is dissolved and sauce is thickened.
- Drizzle coconut sauce over turon then sprinkle with toasted peanuts just before serving.
