Pork chop with Peach Sauce
Ingredients:
- 1 kg boneless pork chop
- 3 tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1 pc star anise
- 1 pc bay leaf
- 1 tsp ginger, grated
- 1/4 cup Jolly Claro Palm Olein
- 2 tbsp. butter
Peach Sauce:
- 1/4 cup butter
- 3 tbsp. red onions, chopped
- 2 tsp five spice (ngohiong)
- 2 tbsp. all-purpose flour
- salt and pepper to taste
- half can Jolly Peach Halves , diced (reserve the syrup for the sauce)
Procedure:
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, sugar, salt, pepper, star anise, bay leaf and ginger.
- Pound pork chops and marinate in the soy sauce mixture for 20 minutes. Pan Fry pork chops in oil and butter.
- Meanwhile, prepare peach sauce. Place half of the butter in a skillet. Sauté onions until light brown.
- Add syrup, five spice and diced Jolly Peach Halves. Add flour. Season with salt and pepper.
- Cook until liquid is reduced by half. Finish off with the remaining butter. Serve pork chops with peach sauce. Makes 6 servings.
