Upside Down Peach Cake

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 can Jolly Peach Halves
  • 1 bottle Jolly Maraschino Cherries 6oz, sliced into halves
  • 1 box yellow cake mix

Procedure:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Coat the bottoms and sides of each 9-inch x 4 round cake pan with melted butter. Sprinkle the bottom of pan with brown sugar.
  2. Lay peach halves facing down with cherries in the middle on top of brown sugar.
  3. Mix the cake as directed on package. Pour slowly onto peaches and spread onto pan evenly. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a toothpick inserted into cake comes out clean. Cool in pans for 20 minutes.
  4. While the bottom of the cake pan is still warm to the touch, invert the pan out onto a serving dish.
